This report presents findings from studies in the project entitled "Impact of Changing Climate on Infrastructure in Longyearbyen: Stability of Foundations on Slope Terrain – Case Study" carried out at SINTEF. The initiative targeted planning in Longyearbyen, Svalbard under conditions of climate change. The main purpose of the project was to perform studies on how climate change affects slopes and infrastructure foundations on slope terrain in permafrost. The study was performed with the aim of maintaining the functionality of existing buildings and to provide valuable engineering knowledge for the proper consideration of climate change in the design of new infrastructure in Longyearbyen.
